With our experience, both with H2020 projects and outside those, we are capable of bringing added-value to Horizon Europe project consortia and assist them, either as consortium member or as external advisor.

We understand perfectly the needs, timeframe, format of deliverables and expected impact of our contribution to funded projects.

Our aim is to the be the go-to law firm where Horizon Europe consortia will find the right legal advisor who can tailor its services to the needs of the project.

Our strong and well-established link with the academic world allows us to deliver prospective legal work and to think beyond the current state of the art.
Our knowledge of both EU and Belgian law is a valuable asset, as most Horizon Europe projects require knowledge of both legal systems, especially in contractual matters.
We are a truly European, multi-lingual, law firm. Our law firm team members cover three different languages: English, French and Dutch.

Anthony BOCHON

Partner

Anthony Bochon has been a member of the Brussels Bar since 2011, the year in which he obtained his LL.M. from the University of Cambridge, after studying law in Belgium.

A business lawyer, his practice focuses mainly on economic law in the broadest sense, the regulation of new technologies and company and insolvency law. He also has extensive experience in intellectual property (particularly copyright and trademark law) and data protection. Anthony Bochon has extensive experience of pleading before Belgian courts and tribunals and the Court of Justice of the European Union. He pleads in French, Dutch and English.

As a lawyer seconded to an international conglomerate for several years and regularly appointed as a court-appointed agent by the French-speaking Business Court of Brussels, he takes a holistic and strategic approach to clients’ legal needs, from advice to litigation.

Anthony Bochon has been a director of the GLAWBUS network of lawyers and consultants since 2022. He has been its Vice-President since 2025.

Anthony Bochon has also been pursuing an academic career since 2011 at the Université libre de Bruxelles, where he is a research doctoral candidate and assistant in economic law and European law. Since 2018, he has been working part-time on a doctoral thesis on the theory and principles of the law of technological innovation. In this capacity, he is a member of the ULB JurisLab.

He is the author of numerous publications, including the “Code de la recherche et du développement technologique (Research and Development Code) (Larcier, 2023), frequently invited to speak or chair sessions at conferences, Anthony Bochon recently acted as an expert to the European Economic and Social Committee’s Civil Society Group as part of the preparation of an opinion on the protection of workers in the face of developments in artificial intelligence, adopted on 22 January 2025. 

Anthony Bochon is passionate about the arts, and cinema in particular, and is also a volunteer director of a number of cultural associations.

Aline VERNET

Associate

Aline Vernet is an Associate at Bochon & Partners and has been a member of the Brussels Bar since September 2024.

She combines a strong legal foundation with a strategic and innovative mindset. After earning a Master’s degree in Law (specialisation in Economic Law) from the Université libre de Bruxelles, she completed an Advanced Master in Innovation and Strategic Management at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.

Her academic path has shaped a way of thinking that goes beyond traditional legal analysis — one that integrates strategic insight, innovation processes, and organisational dynamics.

This allows her to approach each situation with a 360° understanding of value creation, assessing not only the legal implications but also the broader strategic context.

At Bochon & Partners, she applies this dual vision to help clients navigate change, anticipate emerging risks, and seize new opportunities. She is particularly attentive to how innovation and adaptability can become key levers for sustainable growth and long-term resilience.

Martin BECKMANN

Associate

Martin BECKMANN is an associate of Bochon & Partners and member of the Brussels Bar since May 2024.

Martin is both an experienced engineer (Delft University of Technology, PhD) with solid knowledge of IT, software, hardware, systems and management, and an experienced jurist (Maastricht University, LLB and LLM) with solid knowledge of all legal aspects of technology-related industries – be it contracts, Intellectual Property, data protection and privacy, the AI Act and other relevant laws and regulations. He also acts as arbitrator in international commercial disputes and is a TÜV certified Data Protection Officer.

Having worked for a variety of companies both large and small, Martin is very well placed to identify and resolve the challenges that organisations face when dealing with this multitude of legal requirements. He focuses on finding practical solutions to legal problems – often using his technical knowledge and experience – but is equally at ease going to Court for a client if necessary.

Martin practices in English, French, Dutch and German.

Clarys LACOMBLE

Associate

Clarys LACOMBLE has been a member of the French Bar Association in Brussels since October 2025, when she joined our firm. She specializes in intellectual property law, new technology law, and economic law.

After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), she went on to earn a master’s degree in economic and social law from the same university in 2024. She is currently completing an LL.M. in intellectual property and information and communication technology law at KU Leuven.

Her career has been marked by a strong interest in innovation and entrepreneurship, acquired in particular through the creation and development of a start-up project at the ULB, in collaboration with the École Polytechnique de Bruxelles, the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, and the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre.

This experience has enabled her to develop a resolutely interdisciplinary approach, combining legal rigor, an understanding of technical issues, and an entrepreneurial vision. Clarys Lacomble works on cases that require a mastery of law, an understanding of technical aspects, and a solid knowledge of innovation mechanisms. She practices in French and English.
