Our experience
Practical Legal Expertise Rooted in Litigation and Corporate Advisory
Our experience as attorneys at law is very different from legal consultants. As we have the professional capacity to provide both legal advice and represent clients before courts, our way of thinking is oriented towards problem-solving approaches and the mitigation of legal risks, including litigation and liability issues. Our legal analysis skills are also constantly updated with the clients’ cases we handle on a day-to-day basis.
Furthermore, we have assisted hundreds of clients in setting up, restructuring, acquiring, selling or winding up their company. We have also been regularly appointed as trustees by courts, which gives us the experience required to assist consortia in setting up and managing legal entities.
Strong Legal Support in Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe Projects
We have provided legal support for clients involved in Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects. Our legal services include guidance on compliance, contractual arrangements, and liability management within the framework of EU-funded research projects.
We have been and are involved as project partners in the following Horizon 2020 projects:
Past: EC4SafeNano (GA: 723623) – through the Université libre de Bruxelles
Current: Sabydoma (GA: 862296), Bionanopolys (GA: 953206)
Legal for Horizon Europe
Horizon Europe is the current pluriannual (2021-2027) framework programme of the European Commission funding scientific research projects, ranging from fundamental research to go-to-the market industrial projects. The Horizon European overall budget is about 100 billion euros. It follows the H2020 programme that covered the previous funding period (2014-2020).
Horizon Europe legal challenges will be greater than those met in H2020 projects. With the EU Commission’s ambition to have greater market readiness of funded projects, more legal aspects will have to be covered in most Horizon Europe projects. The closer project deliverables are to the market, the greater are legal challenges.
